The side plates ship unattached from the center section, allowing for a flexible, adjustable installation and a custom fit. No installation hardware required! This welded universal hitch is also rated as a class 5 hitch, being fully tested to SAE J684 specifications for a gross trailer weight capacity of up to 16,000 pounds (NOTE: To achieve 16K rating, side plates must be welded 42 inches wide or less). To protect this weld on receiver hitch from corrosion, it comes shielded with a co-cured finish of liquid Bonderite and durable black powder coat.
