Debris and other contaminates in the system are filtered out and become trapped inside the accumulator or filter drier. The debris and contaminates can reduce oil flow to the compressor resulting in premature failure of the air conditioning system. Replacement of the accumulator or filter drier is essential as debris and contaminates cannot be removed by flushing the system.
