This kit includes a DKV Piston Style Compressor which is a direct replacement for the OE DKV Rotary Vane Style Compressor. It is designed to prevent overheating problems that plagued the DKV Rotary Vane Design. It does not need an ambient heat switch, and it requires no modifications to the electric clutch wire connector.

Service Tip: Once filled with oil, place or hold the new A/C Compressor with the front seal facing down for 1-3 minutes. This will help coat the seal with oil - if this seal is not lubricated before installation, refrigerant may leak.
